Techtextil North America is set to surpass expectations

Techtextil North America highlights special features on the show floor including the German Pavilion

Techtextil North America 2015 has exceeded pre-show expectations bringing over 150 exhibitors from 16+ countries representing 100+ product categories to Houston, Texas during the premier three day technical textile event in the United States. Visitors can expect to see leading technical textile and nonwoven companies from around the world showcasing the latest products and technological advancements in textiles, nonwovens and composite materials.

Houston, Texas provides an ideal location for Oil and Gas, Aerospace and Composite companies to conduct business at Techtextil North America.

A sampling of exhibitors that will be at Techtextil North America:

USA - American Cord & Webbing Co., Inc: ACW’s production factory in Rhode Island manufactures a complete line of commercial, military, and specialty products. Specialty products are produced from Kevlar, Nomex, nylon and polyester yarns.

USA - FUJIFILM: FUJIFILM Dimatix Technology Integration works with industry visionaries on the development of highly customized, turn-key systems for jetting a variety of fluid including textile inks, food grade fluids and conductive fluids.

CANADA - Texel: Texel has become a master in needlepunch technology and the transformation and finishing of nonwoven materials according to many sophisticated processes, to the point of developing and manufacturing innovated technical materials for numerous applications.

USA - Trelleborg: With the acquisition of Uretek and Archer Rubber, Trelleborg Engineered Fabrics is showcasing their newly extended and strengthened product range. The offering now consists of industry leading polymer coated materials with capabilities including: Heat Sealable & RF Weldable, Chemical & Radiation Protective, Abrasion, Tear and Water Resistant, Anti-wicking REACH Compliant Flame Retardancy.

USA - NASA Johnson Space Center: NASA conducts work in aeronautics, science, space technology, human space exploration, and operations. The Johnson Space Center is the center for human spaceflight training, mission operations and flight control. It is also the center for flight-related scientific and medical research as well as space suits and astronaut clothing.

Techtextil North America will have four Special Feature Areas: German Pavilion, World-Class Symposium, Graduate Student Poster Program, and the Job Center.

The German Pavilion is a must-see feature area on the show floor as over 15 German companies will be represented. Below is a sampling of German Pavilion exhibitors you can expect to see:

DST Technical Coatings GmbH: DST is specialized in coating, laminating and impregnating of textile tailor-made solutions for international customers. DST serve fireproof and fire retardant products made of silicone, organic and inorganic compounds, aluminum and stainless steel foils, double mirror and fluoropolymer films for aviation, automotive, marine, constructive and industrial use to protect and save.

ECKART GmbH: Smart textiles from optical effects to functionality, ECKART offers a wide variety of pigments for thrilling visual effects for automotive, home appliance, and architectural applications.

IBENA Technische Textilien GmbH: IBENA’s core business is home and industrial textiles. A variety of different industries and applications are being served: protection and safety, car, filtration, scenery, digital printing, and laundry are some examples. Tailor-made solutions with unique properties is one of their trademarks.

Maschinenfabrik Herbert Meyer GmbH: M/S MEYER builds machines, laminating, and coating machines, as well as thermoforming and molding lines. Our specialty is to bond, laminate, calibrate and mold different materials with heat and pressure.

Rex Industrie-Produkte, Graf von Rex GmbH: Rex Industrie-Produkte, Graf von Rex GmbH produces a great variety of high technological, innovative, and temperature resistant materials for the areas of heat protection, fire protection, as well as heat, cold and sound insulation. Their range comprises of yarns, tapes, felts, mats, woven fabrics as well as insulation mats and jackets true to size according to drawings.

World Class Symposium Sessions: Techtextil North America is hosting a 10 session Symposium presented by industry experts throughout the Technical Textile and Nonwovens industry. Session topics include: New Fiber Technologies (Basic and Advanced), Medical, Protective, Smart Textiles, Aerospace, Tensile Structures, Nonwoven Advancements, Raw Materials & Sustainability, and the Graduate Student Poster Program.

The Graduate Student Poster Program/Job Center: The second annual Graduate Student Poster Program will feature current graduate students to present their research to industry professionals on the show floor. The top 5 posters chosen from industry judges will be presented during the symposium on June 4th. The Job Center is located on the show floor with the Poster Program. Visitors have the ability to explore through the current job opportunities available from current exhibitors on the show floor.

Techtextil North America in Houston, TX, will be co-located with JEC Americas, following the successful premiere in Atlanta last year., which results in an unparalleled event creating the largest technical textiles, nonwovens, geosynthetics and composites trade show in the United States this year.
