These three events represent an opportunity to deliver an unparalleled exposition for the manufacturers of technical textiles and composites along with the equipment and technology suppliers for the production of sewn products to display their technologies, expand their expertise, and network with a wide array of industry professionals.

"Since our announcement of the co-location last October, we've experienced a very positive response from the industries we serve. You will see this from the exhibit hall to the symposiums. We are extremely excited about the synergy created through the co-location of our events,” commented Dennis Smith, President, Messe Frankfurt North America. “Together we are well positioned to be this year's strongest B2B platform for the technical textiles, sewn products and composites industries in the Western Hemisphere".

“The synergy between JEC Americas, Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas, 3 powerful brands, results in a unique platform where raw materials and manufacturing will be enhanced by emblematic leaders and niche start-ups. Indeed, technical textiles have a wide range of application sectors with similar final application markets to composites. These industries have common interest to grow together” adds Mrs Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President and CEO. This 3-in-1 Mega Event will enable JEC to provide an unparalleled opportunity for composites designers, manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their technologies, expand their expertise and network with a wide array of industry professionals.

JEC Americas: A new dimension for the Global Composites Industry in America

“The US is a key geography for the global composites industry as it represents around a third of its value”, says Mrs Mutel. Therefore, JEC Americas will highlight 3 major segments that are expected to bring the US composites Industry to 70% of the global value by 2018: Aerospace, Transportation and Construction.

The Aerospace segment growth will be driven by the development of the global commercial fleet of aircrafts and a further penetration of aircrafts with a higher share of composites (e.g. Boeing 787).

In the Transportation segment (mainly Automotive but also truck and bus manufacturing), regulations to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce CO² emissions as well as innovation (car parts made of natural fibers) will lead to further penetration of Composites in this industry. Finally, the US Building and Construction industry has been leading innovation efforts in residential housing and in infrastructure. Growth will be driven by the repair of aging bridges in the US, recovery of the US residential housing market and continued urbanization of emerging Asia for exporting US companies.

The American composites industry needs to win new markets, either domestic or international, thus the 3 colocating events are expected to gather exhibitors and visitors from every American state and more than 70 countries.
